4 new IBS coating machines

Double IBS capacity in 2015
LASEROPTIK enlarges from four to eight industrial IBS systems e.g. for ultrafast optics, complex filter designs or in the UV. With a custom built giant machine, LASEROPTIK also offers coatings on substrates up to 2 metres in length, made by IBS.

LASEROPTIK now designs and produces dispersion-matched pairs of broadband chirped mirrors for even better GDD compen-sation.

Gradient Output Couplers and Gradient Beamsplitters

The reflectivities of gradient output couplers (GOC) or gradient beamsplitters (GBS) are changeable continuously by shifting a linear gradient filter across the beam.
The spectral transmission curve of a filter varies with its position, as shown in the figures below.
LASEROPTIK has developed a set of GOC and GBS, optimised for CW or pulse lasers, consisting of gradient edge filters and coated on rectangular substrates.
With gradient negative filters (GNF) or gradient interference filters (GIF), variable parts of a spectral range can be reflected or transmitted.

Variable Reflection Filters, Standard types

Wavelength selection by tilting of 4 filter plates simultaneously. No change of the final beam direction.
The scanning range "», half bandwidth HBWand transmission at peak maximum Tmax of the stock filters are listed in the following price list. The manufacturing of variable reflection filters (REF "s) is possible in the spectral range 140 nm - 2000 nm.
The scanning range is typical 15% of the center wavelength. Rejection <10 -4 from XUV to FIR. Damage threshold similar to high power coatings. Temperature resistance up to 400°C.
There are two different housings available to adjust the black filter plates (NGI) between AOI 15° and 60°: a manual driven unit, equipped with NGI "s 50 x 50 x 1 mm, and a stepper motor driven unit, controlled manually or by PC, with NGI "s 50 x 70 x 3 mm. Please ask LASEROPTIK for more details.
